Hello! I’m Amy Gizelle Lopez, a proud first-generation Latina on a journey to make my mark in the world of design. I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Design Studies with a minor in communication at Texas Christian University, a path that’s not just about earning a degree; it’s about building a legacy.
As the oldest child in my family, I’ve always felt the honor of setting an example. Every step I take is a reflection of the sacrifices my parents made to allow me to pursue my dreams. Being the first in my family to attend college means that I’m not just learning for myself, but I’m also learning to create pathways for others. I also see this journey as part of God’s calling on my life, to use my gifts not only for myself, but to bless others and glorify Him in everything I do.
Graphic design has always been my passion, blending creativity with problem-solving in ways that tell powerful stories. I believe that as a Latina designer, I have a unique voice that can bring fresh perspectives to the design world. My goal is to break barriers and continue the legacy of resilience and pride in my family, all while creating work that represents diverse cultures and experiences. More importantly, I hope my work reflects my faith, carrying messages of hope, love, and light in a world that deeply needs them.
When I’m not immersed in my design projects, you can find me spending time with my family, working out, or studying the Bible. My time in Scripture not only strengthens my walk with God but also inspires much of my creativity and purpose as a designer. I’m excited about what the future holds, trusting that God’s plan is greater than my own, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!
